Welcome to the concert!
'THE ALTHORP VIRTUOSI'
LSJ Trio plays music by JC Bach, KF Abel, A Kammell, & J Lates
[The concert streaming period has now ended. Thanks so much for watching!]
Welcome to LSJ Trio's concert filmed specially for Early Music Voices in Calgary! This performance presents music from the Bach-Abel concert series, organised by John Christian Bach and Karl Friedrich Abel in late eighteenth-century London.
This is the pre-concert talk for LSJ Trio's programme, The Althorp Virtuosi for Early Music Voices. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, LSJ Trio are unable to travel to Calgary to perform live. Instead, we have pre-recorded the concert and a pre-concert talk (click on the button below) and are sharing them with ticket-holders via YouTube. We very much hope you enjoy the chat and the performance! We'd like to extend our sincere thanks to Julie Harris and Early Music Voices for their support and encouragement during this difficult time, and for their willingness to explore alternative mediums for performance. We'd also like to thank you, our audience, for supporting us with your e-presence. Thank you!
A note: for the best experience, watch in full-screen mode (click the bracketed square in the bottom right-hand corner of the video) and listen through headphones or speakers. Adjust the resolution to max (1080p) using the cog icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the video. Enjoy!
